The Banqueting Club provides a complete, formal buffet service to help you celebrate your special occasion in style withou breaking the bank. Whether it is a birthday, retirement or wedding, we understand that you are booking us for high quality food at a reasonable price. We specialise in providing simple, home-cooked foods from top quality, fresh ingredients. We generally serve all food as a buffet to keep costs down but we can arrange to hire waiting staff should you wish to.
All our meals are priced in the same way and give you complete freedom to choose exactly which elements you would like. You may notice differences in the pricing of our previous menus. This is generally where the customers have negotiated to include hire of equipment or other special arrangements. There is no small print forcing you to pay for unwanted meals and there are no hidden extras. We will discuss your needs and can send you a written quotation before you book.
We do not have a liquor license and we will not charge you corkage, leaving you the freedom to buy your own drinks. We can supply soft drinks as part of the menu. For summer events we recommend our home-made lemonade as a particularly refreshing accompaniment to your meal.
We are insured to cater just about anywhere, from professional kitchens to a tent in a field. This gives you the freedom to hold your celebration anywhere you would like. We can bring along our own cooking facilities and make a suitable adjustment to the price per head, but are equally happy to let you make the arrangements if you can hire something locally at a lower cost. We do have a minimum requirement which we will discuss with you, depending on your menu.
We will work with you to provide menus that complement your day, taking the time and effort to check sources and sample recipes for you. Our menus page shows you some of the menus we have prepared for previous events.

We will bring our own, plain place setting and cutlery. We recommend that you arrange for glass hire locally as it is often possible to secure free glass hire from your wine suppliers. We cannot supply table decorations.

Over the years we have cooked in many different places, some of which we liked and some of which weren't quite ideal. Every event organiser has been faced with the nightmare of finding a new site at one time or another. We thought that it would be handy to put up a list of places at which we have catered.
